So, Alex, did you expect to be invited to one of the fanciest tournaments in the scene a year ago?
- No, not really. I've never played this game that hard to be expected to be invited to something like this -- but I'll get to meet a lot of friends I've only known online.. so I'm really happy about it.

You and Testie will be only non-Koreans on spot, what do you think about that?
- Well, I expect what everyone else expects - the progamers will crush us. I'm really honored I get to be in the same invite tournament with Testie and the progamers, though, so I don't mind win or lose.

Many raised their eyebrows when they saw you in the list of invited players. Do you think yourself that you're "worth" the spot?
- I think at one time I was Top 10 outside Korea, definitely... But Top 2? Who knows... There's a lot of "top" players I've never gotten the chance to face simply because of time zones, etc. I haven't played in over a month actively, so I'm not in shape for this, but I will give it my all and try not to disappoint those who could have maybe made more of it than myself.

Looking at your first opponent, YellOw, do you think there's any chance at all for you to defeat him?
- Sure, there's a chance. TvZ has always been the matchup I've had no problems with... But I've played progamers -- it's just a world apart from even the top foreign Zerg. Yellow is also out of practice though, I think, so maybe that'll be my saving grace. I don't know. Then there's the pressure situation... I know that's his realm, and my hell. So... pray for me! ;p

But it's on your home field - and Koreans have previously had trouble with the food and other things that might make them lose their edge - do you think the fact it's in USA could be of your advantage?
- Hahaha, no... I don't think so. Food isn't going to throw anyone off their game. These guys have performed flawlessly under the pressure of an entire country. You really think taking a plane flight changes any of that? I don't.

If you could pick one person in the tournament to face first, which one would it be. Which one do you think you have the biggest chance of winning?
- Hmm... Any of the Protoss, simply because I don't have any Zerg partners to practice with. I DO have a few good Protoss players I play with from time to time (and will warmup with for this), so I'm hotter at it than vs Z right now. I actually haven't even looked at who got invited, so I can't pick one... at the moment. :)

When you first heard that you were one of the invited ones - how did you react?
- I was sort of irritated. I havn't been playing SC at all.. and I don't believe there's enough time to fully warm up. But I don't want to give up this spot - StarCraft is the greatest game of all time, after all.

Blizzard employees mentioned in a recent interview that they wanted the players at BlizzCon to try out SC2 while they're there. Would you like to try it at BlizzCon, if you have the chance?
- Actually, I'm leaving right after my matches to go to Disneyland with my brother and some friends, so I wont be playing it, as far as I know. I'll have forever to play SC2 later on, so I'm not worried about it now.
