It's another gold medal for Indonesia while Vietnam takes home the silver and bronze.
After 18 gruelling games over three days, Indonesia came out on top with a total of 178 points, which was enough to earn them the country's third gold medal overall. However, it was Vietnam who came rallying back on the final day with both teams winning three of the six maps. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to stop Indonesia.
Consistency within a battle royale is hard to ask for due to how rng-based it can be based on loot and map pulls. But Indonesia somehow managed to make it work, with one team being able to win three chicken dinners in a row. This happened on the second day of the final stage, which saw them take a commanding lead.
And while it was the Indonesia 2 team that dominated from the get-go, the Indonesia 1 team managed to pull its own weight during the final stage. This included two wins and two top-four finishes in 18 games, which isn't too bad considering they finished in the top five. Malaysia is the only outlier in the top five with one of its teams that managed to place fourth after some great performances over the last three days.
This included one map win, two top-two placements, two top-three finishes, and three top-four placements. This was more than enough to secure fourth for Malaysia as well as a joint-bronze medal along with the third-placed team.
Host nation Cambodia will be disappointed in not being able to turn up in front of a raucous live audience with both its teams only finishing in sixth and seventh respectively. Both Cambodian teams were able to win one map each as well as a host of top-three placements, which was enough to secure a finish inside the top half of the table.
Indonesia had 26 more points as compared to Vietnam who came in second, which goes to show just how well the team placed within the final eight to secure some crucial points. Indonesia only finished outside of the final eight six times, but somehow still managed 17 kills in those six games.
