The 2023 Southeast Asian Games is the 32nd edition of the SEA Games hosted by Cambodia. It is the 3rd time that esports is contested as a medal event in a multi-sport competition sanctioned by the International Olympic Committee after the discipline featured as a demonstration sport in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event also marked Cambodia's first time as the host country and PUBG Mobile's second appearance at the Southeast Asian Games.
