Russian fansite Miroverwatch will be hosting a novel tournament: 1v1 McCree shootouts.
For all those of you who are of the opinion the meta has already grown stale in competitive play, pay attention to the following! Miroverwatch, a Russian fansite, has decided to organize a fun new tournament format that is both easier to sign up for and features a more level playing field: no teams allowed, only solo players can sign up. The objective? Kill your opponent in a classic cowboy-style 1v1 shootout.
Details:
- April 9th, 8pm GMT+2
- 1v1 McCree only
- No right-click shooting allowed
- Played on specific section of Hollywood
- A Mei icewall acts as a countdown till the players can shoot
- Players are allowed to move within designated boxes until the wall comes down
- No hiding behind cover
- Bo3 throughout bracket, Bo5 in Winners and Losers Finals
The idea of this tournament seems to be to test the reaction speed and aim of individual players. It is mostly for fun, but there will be a prize pool: 1200 Russian Ruble. To be able to provide this prize pool, players need to buy-in however, costing 100 Russian Rubles.
Signing up is done by contacting Atrifice#2255 on Battlenet, and we will update this post when we find out if the tournament will be streamed.
