Heimerdinger and Ekko make an unusual duo in this sneak peek for Arcane Season 2.
Netflix has released a new teaser for Arcane’s second and final season. The new clip gives us a sneak peek at one of this season’s upcoming storylines, which involves Heimerdinger and Ekko teaming up to sneak into a lab. However, it's not altogether clear why the Yordle scientist is breaking into a building he owns, or why he’s doing it with Ekko in tow.

Heimerdinger and Ekko embark on a stealth mission in Arcane Season 2 clip
Netflix has released a new teaser for its League of Legends animated series Arcane, which is returning for a second and final season this November. The video features an unlikely team up between two returning characters from Season 1: Heimerdinger and Ekko.
The duo embark on a stealth mission in this clip, one which Heimerdinger seems comically ill-equipped to pull off. The Yordle scientist bounces from wall to wall and makes up code words before Ekko exasperatedly tells him, “You do realise code phrases don't work when you make them up on the spot?"
Ekko also argues that Heimerdinger ‘essentially’ owns the building they’re trying to break into, but gets shushed in response. It looks like the Yordle scientist is trying to break into his own lab for reasons unknown in this Season 2 clip. The teaser might only be a minute long, but it should whet the appetites of eager fans waiting for Season 2 to drop later this year.
Arcane Season 2 has been announced to be its final season, as its animation studio Fortiche moves on to developing more projects with Riot Games. Creator Cristian Linke released a statement to explain why the series was ending in Season 2, saying:
Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche. From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.
Arcane Season 2 hits Netflix in November 2024.
