Marvel is making a 6v6 hero shooter starring Spider-Man, The Punisher, Loki, and more, according to this leak.

Marvel Games has announced, “an exciting reveal,” on its Twitter/X account tomorrow, but we may already know what it is. A new report from The Streamr claims that the publisher has an Overwatch-like 6v6 third-person hero shooter in development, with plans to launch the game next year. A recent image leak of the game’s roster and character designs seems to confirm its existence as well:

Marvel is looking to reveal a 6v6 hero shooter this week, according to a few leaks that have started popping up online over the past day. The Streamr has stated that the game is being developed in partnership with NetEase, thanks to a contract Marvel Games has with the company. This will be a much more ambitious title than the mobile games both companies have put out recently, however.

A reputable Marvel’s Avengers and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League leaker named Miller has also confirmed the game’s existence, noting that Namor, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, and Scarlet Witch are also part of the base roster via a new image seen below:

That makes the game’s full roster as follows:

  • Doctor Strange
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Iron Man
  • Luna Snow
  • Punisher
  • Rocket
  • Groot
  • Loki
  • Spider-Man
  • Hulk
  • Magik
  • Magneto
  • Mantis
  • Storm
  • Peni Parker
  • Black Panther
  • Star Lord
  • Namor
  • Thor

Oddly, Thor is the only character not pictured in both of the leaked images we’ve seen of the game thus far. Streamr describes the game as a 6v6 hero shooter in the same vein as Overwatch, but with third-person gameplay and character designs that lean more towards Valorant aesthetically. Environmental destruction will reportedly be, “a big part of the game,” as well, with certain character abilities being able to destroy parts of the map.

The outlet also reports that the game has only two modes at this stage: Escort and King of the Hill. In Escort, players have to escort a payload to a specific objective. In King of the Hill, players have to work together to gain points while capturing objectives. Three maps are also in the mix as of now: Odin’s Vault, an unnamed real-world city that isn’t New York, and another unnamed island pulled from Marvel Comics. Marvel has loads of fictional islands, from Genosha to Krakoa and Madripoor, so that doesn’t narrow things down much.

Marvel is teasing an announcement for the game tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll learn more about it then:
