For movies the award season is in Spring, for pretty much every other subject it is the end of a year. HoN is no difference in this regard and so Honcast gave away the annual awards in a little show.
Tje biggest winner at that show was Trademark eSports and Suicide/Solo player zai in particular, who won three of the prestigious awards. The youngster from the best team at the time was named the MVP of the Year, the best Suicide/Solo laner and also won the Breakout Player of the Year. Zai burst into the high competitive scene as a part of Blackfade.org at DreamHack Summer 2012 - finishing third at the event. From there he moved to It's Gosu to finally end up with iNsania, Mynuts, noobG and Limmp in Trademark eSports. A DreamHack Championship, as well as two Hon Tour event championships followed.
So after the recent success of the team it was not a real big surprise that Trademark eSports was also named the Best Team of the Year. In that category they actually beat Blackfade.org, Tt eSports and compLexity Gaming.
The team of tdM also received notable awards as noobG was named the best Carry Player, Mynuts got the award for being the best Drafter and the team also had one of the most memorable moments of the HoN year, when they defeated compLexity Gaming on the biggest HoN stage - ending the dominance of compLexity and stepping in the giant footsteps of fnatic, who had won DreamHack four consecutive times in HoN.
The main rival of Trademark eSports - compLexity - secured two of the prestigious awards, as the Swedish player Chessie was named best Jungler and the American Franzzii got the award for best Supporter.
The last individual award went out to CHEESEHELMET of Domain of Pain, who won the award for Most Entertaining Stream, beating the streaming heroes AngryTestie, MoonMeander, KheZu and Haxxeren.
The rest of the awards went either to teams or specific moments and games. myRevenge was named the best Upcoming Team, Absolute Legends took home the awards for being the Most Entertaining Team and Orange eSports was named the Best Team outside of the international Client.
The honor for Game of Year went to Trademark eSports against Team It's Gosu, in which MoonMeander played a major role. The game was in a very tight spot, both teams were basically even and then the fan favorite MoonMeander took down the already damaged Shrine to secure the win for his team.
