Reprisal makes it look easy in ZOTAC #254

After a brief reprieve brought to us by Lucifer last week, it was time for humans to start reclaiming their cup. Yesterday saw Reprisal take on Rudan in one of the most one-sided finals for months.

The match started poorly for Rudan, who went for a fast tech with few units on Echo Isles. He was trying to take advantage of the early expansion from his opponent, but with so few units he couldn’t apply any pressure. Reprisal simply bought all the mercenaries and crushed Rudan with ease. Another Isle, another one-sided blowout – this time the map was Ancient Isle. Once again, Reprisal hit a perfect timing despite almost losing his Archmage in a mid-map skirmish. Rudan started teching to tier three with almost no units and his emergency dryads were no match for Reprisal’s 48 supply rifle army.

The elf player looked to salvage some pride on Turtle Rock, but it wasn’t to be. If anything, this was the most embarrassing game of the series, especially when Reprisal rushed down his opponent’s tree of life after just four and a half minutes. Close spawns have always been difficult for elf, but this was a real hammering. Rudan sold his town portal to build a new tree, but when that was killed during construction, there was no way back.
