Sasha "Scarlett" Hostyn was crowned WCS Canada national champion after beating fellow zerg Ostojiy at the end of a hard bracket run that contained Nova, Ddoro, Drewbie and HuK.
After making the headlines during IPL 4 and winning Iron Lady Leetgion tournament several weeks later, Scarlett achieves yet another, even more impressive a feat. In Toronto, Ontario, Acer's new zerg defeated almost every single well-known Canadian StarCraft 2 player, including tournament favorite Chris "HuK" Loranger.
Her 12-1 run through the national finals deservedly won Scarlett the roaring applauds of the audience, a $6,000 and a seed into the North American continental finals next month.
More players who made the top 10 of WCS Canada nationals - all of whom will be seeded into and get paid trips to the NA continentals - include Ddoro, TT1, Drewbie, Stalife, dde and Attero. HuK also barely managed to make the cut by winning the consolation bracket together with TubbyTheFat.
