EG's newest member JYP recovered from a loss after an exhausting first game to end up with a 3-1 against the only foreigner left in the tournament. JYP's next match is a protoss mirror against oGs's MC.

The set on Dual Sight was probably the most epic game played in this tournament. Dimaga got an early lead as his brood lord tech kicked but was pushed back after some unsuccessful engagements and soon he was under protoss siege. JYP even added Mothership to the mix and started doing multiple vortexes and making Dimaga's job extremely hard. In response, the Zerg turtled heavily behind spine crawlers, patiently waiting for his moment to come and it did so at the 55th minute in the game, when he found JYP's army split and out of position. A few fungals and brood lord shots later and JYP was down 0-1.

That was all the victory that Dimaga could pull that day, however, as JYP sprung back to win three in a row and advance to the semi-finals. The EG protoss did a zealot attack followed by a DT warp in to destroy Dimaga's third, forcing the zerg into a roach/infestor attack that got defended successfully thanks to JYP's abundance of cannons. Game three was very similar to the first one with the two players moving very equally up to the part when JYP went for mothership deathball and archon-toileted the majority of Dimaga's infestors for a GG.

The final set smelled like cheese as JYP cannon rushed Dimaga to force him to reposition his natural to the third. As the protoss presence was chased away, the zerg decided not to transition to a proper macro game but instead tech to nydus network. Sadly for all foreign fans, however, Dimaga failed both the initial zergling unload and the follow-up hydra attack, making JYP the victor and the fourth semi-finalist of HSC 4.
