CheckPrime is quite monosyllabic in his responses but gives a nice comment about the increased Roach range. Although, he feels happy about it, he doesn't feel that it will make that much of a difference.
CheckPrime: ”I'm not expecting the Roach range increase to make much difference. To be honest Force Fields were way too powerful. There wasn't much a Zerg could do when most of his units were shut down with Force Fields. Even after the patch, I'm not expecting this to change if the Protoss uses his Force Fields well.”
sSKS backs up many of Check's statement about the PvZ match-up, saying that the improved Roaches would not make a huge difference. He, however, shares some interesting thoughts from his surroundings about the overall patch.
sSKS: ”I'm hearing a lot of people say that Protoss is going to get harder. Some are wondering if the Zerg are going back to their beta status.”
Absolutely contrary to his colleagues, the Zerg monster Cool is certain, that ZvP will change a lot, both overall and from where he stands. Cool also drops a comment about the current situation of Zerg Tier 3 and its critical flaws.
Cool: ”Right now Brood Lords die too easily, are very hard to tech up to, and don't have much impact even if they do come out. I'm not at all fond of both Brood Lords and Ultralisks, but the Ultralisk is the only unit that has any viability in the higher tech levels of the Zerg tree. [...] I'd say the Zerg need a unit like the Protoss High Templar.”
The answers are indeed diverse, laying on both extremes of the prediction scale. It will take time, however, to find out who of those RTS beasts were most spot-on.
