Falcons Esports continues to make moves into new territories, as they recently announced that they had acquired a women’s MLBB squad.
In recent times, we have seen Falcons Esports making their way into the esports world and really coming into their own. In Dota 2, they have made massive waves, winning multiple tournaments in the short time since they have been active. When it comes to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, we are no strangers to the name, “Team Falcons” either, as they appeared at the M5 World Championships Wild Card Tournament. More recently, we have seen them also partner up with M5 winners, AP.Bren, solidifying their spot in the MLBB world.
Just a few days ago, Falcons Esports confirmed via their social media pages that they had moved into the domain of women’s MLBB too, picking up the GPX Basreng roster. This gives Team Falcons teams in multiple different regions, as they bring themselves forward into the world of esports. The roster is Falcons Esports' first-ever foray into the women’s side of Mobile Gaming, and they will be hoping to secure some big wins in the future.
Although, unfortunately, this roster will not be at the upcoming MLBB Women’s Invitational 2024 (MWI), having lost to Bigetron Era (now Team Vitality) in the grand finals of the Indonesian WSL back in February, we will hopefully see them in action very soon. It has been extremely interesting to see the amount of “bigger” organisations getting involved in MLBB in recent times, and hope that it continues to grow the game at the extremely rapid pace which we have already seen over the last few years.
