It has been almost a full day since www.spin.ph posted an exclusive interview with the Blacklist Lunatix Team Manager, Eviann Balquin, which uncovered some extremely terrible truths within the team. Now, as confirmed by Blacklist International’s main organisation themselves via their social media, they have decided to immediately drop their partnership with Lunatix, taking on full control of their Mobile Legends Development League squad – all this due to a complete internal investigation.

Team Lunatix has already been in the media spotlight within MLBB in recent times, with their Malaysia counterpart having severe problems just a few weeks ago. Now, the organisation has put themselves in the wrong place once more, after entering a partnership with Blacklist International with their Academy squad in MDL PH Season 2. With the fourth week of Regular Season fixtures about to kick off, Blacklist has not been able to advance very far – and it seems that this has been entirely the fault of Lunatix.
In the interview mentioned previously, Eviann speaks of a lack of equipment, no proper facilities or internet connections, unpaid player salaries, and a lack of food. While the team management worked tirelessly to rectify a lot of these problems at their own expense, Lunatix has been nowhere to be seen – and thus Moonton and the MPL were brought in.
Unfortunately for Blacklist Academy, it would seem as though this has had a major impact on their MDL season, and it is unlikely that they can bounce back in the short time left before the playoffs. Hopefully, Lunatix take some accountability for the problems that they have caused in the future, but it is possible that Moonton and the MPL will be handing down a punishment of their own after they complete their own investigations.
