SANDBOX Gaming rebrands itself to FearX ahead of the new LCK season

SANDBOX Gaming is now officially known as FearX.

The LCK Spring Split 2024 is just a mere month away and we have the latest team from South Korea that recently went through a rebranding. SANDBOX Gaming, also known as Liiv Sandbox, have since rebranded to FearX that will also feature a brand-new logo and look alongside the name change.

Keeping in line with its rebranding, FearX will adopt a new identity that includes a new fox head logo to ensure it is in line with its name, the ‘Fearless Foxes.’ All players signed under the FearX banner will also adopt a new tricode known as ‘FOX’ in all in-game names across its esports titles. This will include the current roster for League of Legends as well as its other signed teams.

Aside from keeping its signed rosters, the only other feature of the formerly known SANDBOX Gaming that FearX will be keeping were the org's bold colour schemes of black and yellow. FearX has opted to keep it the same albeit with a slightly darker tone to give it a more aggressive look and feel.

Back when it was known as SANDBOX, the team had recently finalised its roster for the upcoming season and now, all five players will now play under the FearX banner. Having been with the LCK since 2019, the org had never been able to qualify for an international tournament with its highest placement being third during the 2022 LCK Summer Split. Besides that, the formerly known SANDBOX Gaming had mostly been a mid-table team.

Given its new backing and rebranding, FearX will be hoping to instil some fear into the LCK when it makes it debut in January.

FearX Roster:

Hyeon-min “Clear” Song

Jeong-hyeon “Willer” Kim

Lee “Clozer” Ju-hyeon

Park “Hena” Jeung-hwan

Jeong-hoon “Execute” Lee
