LEC Winter Split 2024 set to start on January 13

The LEC Winter Split 2024 will be the first regional league to kick off the start of a new season next year, which is expected to take place from January 13th to February 18th. This will be just the second iteration of the LEC Winter Split after it was first introduced earlier this season with G2 Esports being the current titleholders.

However, this year's LEC Winter Split will feature three fresh faces that will be joining the franchise. One such organisation that will finally be making its long-awaited LEC debut is Karmine Corp, who acquired Astralis' franchise slot a few months ago. The historic French org have long been one of the LFL's best teams and with its fanatic fanbase right behind them, they will be bringing a new level of excitement to the LEC.

Another org that will be making its debut is the Spanish org Giants, who were formerly of the Superliga but have since merged alongside Excel Esports to create GIANTX. They will be making their LEC debut in the 2024 season as well, but that's not all. The last team is actually a returning figure in the LEC as Rogue is finally back. This was due to KOI and Infinite Reality mutually agreeing to dissolve its partnership.

LEC Winter Split 2024 —Schedule & Format

The Winter Split will be split into the Regular Season group stage games and the Bracket Stage, which only the top eight teams can qualify. The regular season will feature just three weeks worth of games as each team will play three best-of-one matches per week to determine their final standings before the playoffs. The top eight teams to make it through will then go through a double-elimination bracket to determine who will lift the LEC Winter Split Title and book an automatic slot to the Mid-Season Invitational as well as the LEC Finals.
