Fnatic and Gambit Gaming were able to get back up on their feet to find a crucial victory, placing three LCS teams in the playoffs and sending Taipei Assassins, World Elite, and Invictus Gaming back home.

Fnatic had a rather dismal debut yesterday and were dominated in their attempts to take out Invictus Gaming, only managing a victory against Millenium.  However, in their game against Invictus Gaming, they looked much stronger, securing objectives and turning the aggression in their favor.  One after another, Chinese teams fell out of the bracket.  Fnatic kicked it off by securing the first win.

Directly after a very weak looking first day, Gambit Gaming would repeat IEM history.  Gambit Gaming ran an interesting composition with Genja playing an astounding out-of-meta Varus helped secure a victory over World Elite, essentially repeating what was seen in last year's Katowice. They started off with a massive disadvantage and swung it back to their favor.

Gambit Gaming were able to take two victories back to back, smashing Taipei Assassins who manhandled Gambit Gaming yesterday.  While Gambit Gaming's early game still looked a little shaky, their teamwork was much better and Diamondprox proved that his world-class Lee Sin is still very much deservedly feared.  Fnatic faces Cloud 9 in the semi-finals while Gambit Gaming faces KT Rolster Bullets.
