Cloud 9 gives Team Solomid some competition in leading the region while Counter Logic Gaming picks a win off Curse Gaming with the help of Chauster.
CLG vs. CRS
The rivaled rematch between the two teams kicked off immediately with CLG finding a vision advantage due to Aphromoo finding a pink ward before the start of the laning phase. Cop's Jinx was incredibly strong with double steroids and was able to shove the top towers very hard with his team, creating an early vulnerable inhibitor. Doublelift and Aphromoo took the bottom lane tower almost equally as fast in the beginning.
Curse's early game strategy was paying dividends, but on their push towards the bare inhibitor, they were caught out by CLG's composition, allowing CLG to grab a baron. Curse still held a huge tower lead however, even if CLG were closing in on gold values. After turtling out the game, CLG were able to reach their peak with the late game composition, make the proper plays necessary, and close out a second win against Curse Gaming.
C9 vs. EG
Evil Geniuses and Cloud 9 started off the fight on early footing, but Cloud 9's diving helped make the game favorable in the favor of Cloud 9. As the game progressed, Cloud 9 showed a much better performance in securing tower kills. Evil Geniuses tried their best to make a comeback, but Cloud 9 showed their preparation in closing out games.
Every second that passed in the game involved Evil Geniuses falling behind further and further. While Evil Geniuses attempted to come back into the game, their miscommunication was apparent as their engages were generally lackluster and all over the place. Cloud 9 were easily able to defeat Evil Geniuses and tie for the first place position.
