In a series of posts on their Facebook page, Ninjas in Pyjamas has confirmed that starting jungler John “hyrqBot” Velly is stepping down from the team at his own request only a few short hours before crucial games as part of the EU LCS Replacement Matches.
hyrqBot struggled during the LCS Relegation Tournament along with the rest of his team, and there has been speculation that he would not be playing in the Replacement Matches for some time. Yesterday, hyrqBot confirmed his decision and promised an explanation in the future. However today NiP stated that he would be permanently stepping down.
Hey guys, so yeah tomorrow @NiPGaming will play for tie breaker. I will not play with the guys, we will explain later. GL guys GoGo ♥♥♥♥
