Gold Series Winter has determined the four to play for China in the first championship of the year. This is what they played.
Far in the east, the first major for 2017 is taking place, just one match away from completion at the time of this article’s publication. Zheng “OmegaZero” Lin and underdog “XHope” are about to decide the first 2017 champion of the region in just a few hours.
The two, together with Newbee veteran Bohan “Lovelychook” Zhang and newcomer “Lvge” have also secured berths into two more major events: The CN vs. NA Challenge later this month and, more importantly, the HCT Winter Championship.
The group prevailed over other tournament favorites such as 2016 Blizzcon quarter finalist Zhuo “Hamster” Wang and Wang “XiChen” Chao, both of whom faced round 1 elimination.
Below, you can find all 20 decks of the top four finalists. A breakdown of the Gold Series meta – and the first glimpse into a post-Gadgetzan China – is available here.
