Dark magic and mysterious potions are this clan’s trademark.
This week, Mages, Warlocks and Priest will get to see the new tools they’ll be using in a post-Gadgetzan world. The Kabal covenant has arrived and is ready to overtake the Grimy Goons roughnecks.
Earlier in the week, we were shown the Mage legendary of the set, [card]inkmaster solia[/card]. After [card]kazakus[/card], this is the second Gadgetzan card that makes use of highlander decks, giving hope that such decks will live even after the rotation of [card]reno Jackson[/card]. Inkmaster Solia is more of a support highlander card than a carry like Reno as it merely enables the next spell you play this turn to be free. 0 mana [card]pyroblast[/card]? Yes, please.

Priests already got a lot of reveals and leaks during Gadgetzan announcement week, so Blizzard focused on Mage and Warlock this week. The menagerie is diverse, ranging from a new secret for Mage to minions and spells with questionable viability for Warlock. Then again, could we see a return of the Murloc Zoo with [card]seadevil stinger[/card]?
Naturally, new neutral minions were also shown. [card]Bomb squad[/card] is a 5-drop 2/2 that lives and breathes the spirit of being a Goblin, having a huge upswing but a huge drawback at the same time. [card]Kabal Chemist[/card] fits the Kabal clan perfectly, fetching a random Potion (which are all the Gadgetzan cards with “Potion” in their name), while [card]backstreet leper[/card] is just a bigger, meaner version of the good old [card]leper gnome[/card]. Gnimsh misses you.
