Blizzard Art Contest: Winner announced

As we reported in a former newspost, Blizzard started to host a Fan Art Contest including big amounts of prizes. The contest ended on September 17, 2006 and Blizzard just announced the winner. Have a look.



Around four months ago we informed about Blizzards first annual Fan Art Contest which lasted from July 31, 2006 to September 17, 2006. Blizzard asked to send your own 3D and 2D concept arts of the Diablo, StarCraft and WarCraft world, each winner will be honoured with a Grand Prize Package valued at over $10.000 each. Additionally Blizzard will reward other participants who did an awesome work with 14 Secondary Prize Packages valued at over $1.400 each. The winner of each contest were announced recently and below you will find the winner for best StarCraft art and best WarCraft art.

The other submitted and rewarded works can be found at Blizzard's website. Marc Simonetti managed to become first at Diablo Art Contest with his work called "Diablo's Horns Tower", Peter Zoppi made the best Cinemativs Art with his work called "Leading the Horde". There will be another contest as Blizzard states in the news - another chance to depict your creativity and vocation when Blizzard is asking once again for a divinely gifted 3D computer graphic modeler and 2D concept artist.
