Black Shrew Esports swept all three matches they played in Week 2 of the MY Honor of Kings League Spring 2025.
Black Shrew Esports soundly swept all three of their opponents in Week 2 of the MY Honor of Kings League (MKL) Spring 2025. The winners of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 proved their doubters wrong when they dismantled O2 Esports, Team Secret, and Todak, improving their record to 4-1 and rising to second place in the league.
Black Shrew opened their perfect Week 2 run against O2 Esports, securing a 2-0 sweep despite strong drafts from their opponents. They then continued their display of dominance as Lee Han “Siang” Siang completely dismantled Team Secret from the Clash Lane. A show of excellence by Siang and Lim “ZhiHong” Chee Hong in another sweep against Todak completed Black Shrew's Week 2 hat-trick.
AG Global, on the other hand, couldn't maintain their excellent form from the first week as they only managed to grab one win in Week 2. They lost their showdown against Nova Esports on the second day of the week, dropping them into third place in the Group Stage of MKL Spring 2025.
Here are the MY Honor of Kings League Spring 2025 standings after the end of Week 2:
- Nova Esports (5-0) +9 Game difference (GD)
- Black Shrew Esports (4-1) +7 GD
- AG Global (4-1) +5 GD
- Team Secret (2-3) -2 GD
- DTE Gaming (1-3) -4 GD

Nova Esports continue to be unstoppable
Nova Esports have also racked up five wins in five matches in the MY Honor of Kings League Spring 2025 so far. They did it not by winning against bottom-placed teams, but beating three of their closest rivals in the league: Black Shrew Esports, AG Global, and Team Secret. The only teams remaining for them to beat in the first half of the season are Todak and Souls Esports, the current seventh and eighth-placed teams.
Nova Esports' domination can be traced back to when they swept the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 Group Stage. They didn't lose a single game before the semifinals in the Playoffs. The only two teams that could take a game from the Malaysian team were Team Vitality (now OG in Kings Major West) and Nongshim Redforce from Kings Major East.
The MY Honor of Kings League Spring 2025 will continue with Week 2 on 25 April 2025. A series between DTE and Todak will open the week, with AG Global and Black Shrew Esports facing off in the day's highlight match.
