Honor of Kings IKL Spring 2025 Week 2: Dominator Esports stay undefeated

Dominator Esports kept their record clean in Indonesia Kings Laga Spring 2025 with three impressive wins in Week 2.

Honor of Kings' Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL) Spring 2025 revealed why Dominator Esports is still the best team in Indonesia even after losing two core players in Ilham “CipengZ” Aldiqri and Khoo “Freddie” Ho Zhe. The arrival of Hoo “TianX” Wen Feng and Wong “GuiYu” Yit Siang proved to be a shrewd business decision by the team, as they currently sit on top of the league with five out of five series wins.

Dominator Esports made short work of Team Nemesis in their first match of the week. The runners-up of Honor of Kings Championship 2024 only took 10 minutes to get their first win of the week, followed by a 12-minute win to secure the 2-0 series sweep.

The only team that could hold a candle to Dominator Esports was Kagendra, the latter's opponents in their third match of the week. The second-placed team in Group Tyrant almost got the win against Dominator Esports in a hard-fought 2-1 series. They successfully held Dominator down for nearly 25 minutes in the third game before one crucial mistake by Farhan “Hanss” Akbari Ardiansyah snowballed into a win for Dominator.

Here are the Honor of Kings Indonesia Kings Laga Spring 2025 standings after the end of Week 2:

Group Tyrant

  1. Dominator Esports (5-0) +8 Game difference (GF)
  2. Kagendra (3-2) +2 GF
  3. Rex Regum Qeon (2-3) -1 GF
  4. Team Nemesis (1-3) -4 GF
  5. Alter Ego Enma (1-4) -5 GF

Group Overlord

  1. Talon Esports ID  (3-1) +4 GF
  2. Bigetron Esports (3-1) +2 GF
  3. Mahadewa Esports (2-2) +1 GF
  4. Vesakha Esports  (2-2) +0 GF
  5. ONIC Esports (0-4) -7 GF

Reality check for the Open Qualifier teams

After a shock in Week 1, the Open Qualifiers teams' disappointing performances continued. In the second week of IKL 2025, both teams struggled to keep up with their opponents as Team Nemesis and Vesakha Esports suffered two losses. Both teams are now stranded in fourth place in their respective groups.

Team Nemesis suffered a loss to both Dominator and Alter Ego Enma in the second week. While a defeat to Dominator was almost a given on paper, failure against Alter Ego Enma was shocking, especially after the latter struggled in the first week. Vesakha Esports, on the other hand, didn't succeed in improving their 2-0 score line as they fell to both Talon ID and Bigetron Esports.

Both Open Qualifier teams will have an opportunity to fix their position next week. Vesakha Esports will play thrice in the week, with Mahadewa and ONIC offering the biggest chance for them to jump into the third and second places of their group. Meanwhile, Team Nemesis will meet again with Rex Regum Qeon, the only team they beat, in Week 3.

The Honor of Kings Indonesia Kings Laga Spring 2025 will continue with Week 3 on 25 April 2025. ONIC will face Talon ID during the week opener, while Alter Ego Enma will meet with Kagendra in the closing series.
