Pocketpair has revealed what’s in store for Palworld in 2025.
Game developer Pocketpair has unveiled its 2025 roadmap for the hit survival game Palworld. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Palworld’s early access launch, the developer announced that it plans to add crossplay, a final boss, and even more content as it ramps up to a full release.
Here’s what Palworld has planned for 2025
Palworld has a lot planned for 2025. As the game ramps up to a full release, Pocketpair plans to continue adding content to expand on its core mechanics and gameplay throughout the year. Among the new features planned are an “ending scenario” and “final boss,” which suggests that an actual ending to the game is now in the works. That might arrive in one last pre-launch expansion sometime this year.
Crossplay for co-op multiplayer is also in development, along with world transfers for Pals. “Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals” will give players more content to grind out, along with “various new content such as new Pals and technologies.” The latter addition was obvious - Palworld continues to add new Pals and technology types in every major update.
More game collaborations are in development, including but not limited to an upcoming crossover with the 2D survival game Terraria. Besides that, more quality-of-life improvements are coming to world object placement, base Pals, optimisation, and UX features.
It will be interesting to see how Palworld plans to make its full launch - whether it be in this year with a “final boss” update, or next year with even more content to give its loyal playerbase. The game was a massive hit upon releasing in early access, although that success was somewhat marred by a legal run-in with Pokemon publisher Nintendo.
