This new tactical RPG features Marvel heroes going up against Nightmare.Â
NetEase Games and Marvel Games have announced an all-new tactical RPG set in the universe of Marvel Comics. The Marvel Mystic Mayhem game is a free-to-play RPG aimed for iOS and Android on mobile devices. No release date has been confirmed for the title yet, but players can sign up for upcoming tests now.Â
Here’s the reveal trailer:Â
Marvel Mystic Mayhem tactical RPG announced for mobile devices
Marvel Mystic Mayhem is NetEase Games’ second foray into the Marvel Comics universe in recent times, following the announcement of its hero shooter Marvel Rivals. This game appears to be set in a different continuity, however, following superheroes like Moon Knight and Doctor Strange as they go up against the villainous Nightmare. The team-based tactical RPG will be free-to-play when it launches, but no firm release date has been announced just yet.Â
While Marvel Mystic Mayhem’s reveal trailer didn’t give us much gameplay to go by, a news release suggests that players will be battling it out as three-hero teams across a series of dungeons created by Nightmare. Here’s the game’s full description:
Join forces with iconic superheroes as they clash with the sinister forces of Nightmare, the malevolent lord of the Dream Dimension, as he seeks to dominate the waking world. Get a glimpse into the deepest fears of Super Heroes such as Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, and Captain America as Nightmare transforms their dreams into dangerous dungeons. Drawing energy from the Mindscape, Doctor Strange and Sleepwalker must arm their allies with dream energy to form a three-hero battle team delving into the heart of each harrowing nightmare to avert the collapse of reality.
Interestingly, Yuri Lowenthal seems to be reprising his role as Spider-Man here from Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Marvel Rivals and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Marvel Mystic Mayhem does not have a firm release date yet, but players can sign up for early testing here.Â
