Ghost of Tsushima is the first PlayStation exclusive to get an all-new PlayStation UI overlay on PC.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has shared details on Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut’s upcoming PC port, which is being handled by Nixxes Software. The game is coming to PC with an all-new PlayStation UI overlay and trophy support, allowing players to share their trophies with both PC and PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
The PC version will still support Steam and Epic Games Store achievements, but this is a fun bonus for anyone who enjoys collecting PlayStation trophies.
More details on Ghost of Tsushima’s crossplay, trophy support and hardware specifications on PC
Nixxes Software’s PC port of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is a meaty one, adding an all-new PlayStation overlay to the game that will likely become a staple of all PlayStation-exclusive ports moving forward. The overlay is entirely optional, but those who choose to use it will be able to access basic features like their settings, profiles, trophies and friends lists.
PlayStation’s UI overlay works a lot like the Xbox console overlay for PCs, accessible via the in-game menu or by pressing SHIFT+F1. The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima also shares a trophy list with the console version of the game, in addition to supporting Steam and Epic Games Store achievements.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut also comes with a co-op multiplayer Legends mode, and the PC version will support crossplay between console and PC players. However, you will need to sign into a PlayStation Network account to play the game mode. I’d personally recommend it - it’s remarkable how well Ghost of Tsushima’s gameplay translates to multiplayer shenanigans.
