Now that Avatar Aang is getting a machine gun, Fire Lord Ozai doesn’t look like much of a threat.
Fortnite has made its long-rumoured crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender official at long last. In Chapter 5 Season 2, the Battle Royale mode will introduce three characters from The Last Airbender to Fortnite’s Item Shop: Katara, Toph and Zuko, though Sokka is suspiciously absent. Also absent from this crossover is the Avatar himself, Aang, though it’s rumoured that the game is saving him and the flying bison Appa for a special Event Pass.
Avatar: The Last Airbender cosmetics confirmed for Fortnite
Epic Games unveiled its Avatar: The Last Airbender skins for Fortnite in a new Twitter/X post this week, confirming that an event called Avatar: Elements is kicking off on April 12. The event will add Katara, Toph and Zuko as Outfits in the Fortnite Item Shop, and bring a few map changes and item additions to Battle Royale. These cosmetics will likely include themed Back Bling and Pickaxes for each character, though players will have to fork up V-Bucks to get them.
If you don’t wanna buy any V-Bucks however, there’s a fair chance that cosmetics for Aang and Appa will be available in the game for free. Fortnite events like these usually come with a smaller, limited-time battle pass that players can grind through by completing quests and gaining XP. The battle pass usually rewards cosmetics unique to the event. Aang is missing from this trailer, but given that Korra is part of this season’s main battle pass, it would make sense for Aang to join her in an Event Pass.
Sokka is also missing from this event, but he’s sure to join the game later on in a new wave of Avatar cosmetics. His trusty boomerang is just begging to be a Pickaxe, after all. According to recent leaks, each of the three announced skins will be bundled with additional cosmetics and cost 2000 V-Bucks. Players will also be able to pick up new in-game items on the map to allow them to bend fire, earth and air.
Fortnite’s Avatar: Elements event begins on April 12.
