Palworld’s latest update includes details for an upcoming ‘content-packed’ summer update.
Palworld developer Pocket Pair has launched a new update for the survival game, but its patch notes promise much bigger things to come in the near future. According to the developer, “many new pals,” a new island and, “never-before-seen scenery,” are in the works for a large update planned for summer this year.
The update will also add new buildings, weapons and tower bosses.
‘Content-packed’ summer update in the works for Palworld
The patch notes for Palworld’s latest 0.2.0.6 update also includes details on a much bigger update being planned for release later this summer. According to the game’s developer, a more, “content-packed update,” is in the works for summer, with, “never-before-seen scenery and thrilling adventures on a new island, home to many new Pals. In addition, we plan to add a large amount of new content including new buildings, weapons, and tower bosses."
If Pocket Pair actually manages to deliver on that promise, this summer update will easily be Palworld’s biggest to date. This week’s patch also introduced its very first Raid boss, as promised in an earlier content roadmap, featuring the pal Bellenoir. Bellenoir has proven to be a fearsome enemy to take on, though the Pal can’t be captured during or after the battle. Instead, it drops an egg for players to hatch their own Bellenoir.
The patch also added a new Ore Mining Site that players can set up in their home bases, allowing them to mine for ore without having to travel too far from the base. Training Manuals and Ancient Technical Manuals have also been added as items that grant XP or ancient technology points. More items, like the Recovery Med item that slowly heals the user once it's activated, have also been added with this patch.
The new patch has also introduced a ‘Mercy Hit’ passive ability, which keeps pals from immediately killing enemies during a battle, thus allowing players to capture the enemy before they’re out for the count. It looks like Pocket Pair intends to keep churning out small but substantial updates like these until it can put out a bigger update to lure players back, such as the upcoming summer update.
