The Among Us adaptation has revealed its cast, but who’s playing the imposter?

Developer Innersloth has unveiled the voice cast for its upcoming Among Us animated TV series. Elijah Wood - best known for playing Frodo Baggins in the Lord of the Rings trilogy - leads the cast as ‘Green’, joined by Ashley Johnson (Ellie from The Last of Us) as Purple, Randall Park (Fresh off the Boat) as Red, and Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) as Orange.

The cast will play a group of crewmates who, as fans of the game will know, are placed in the precarious position of rooting out an alien imposter among their ranks.

Among Us TV show reveals its voice cast

Among Us developer, Innersloth has unveiled the stars of its upcoming Among Us TV series, featuring Ashley Johnson, Elijah Wood, Randall Park and Yvette Nicole Brown. The TV show adaptation was created by Owen Dennis, who previously acted as showrunner for HBO Max’s Infinity Train. Innersloth will produce the series, while studio Titmouse (Star Trek: Lower Decks) works on animation. Strangely, the series doesn’t have a streaming service or television network attached to distribute it just yet.

We do have a few character descriptions, though. Randall Park voices Red, captain of the Skeld, who ‘failed upwards’ and is described as a blowhard and people-pleaser. Purple (Ashley Johnson) acts as the suspicious chief of security, who’s something of a wet blanket for the rest of the crew. Elijah Wood plays the unpaid intern Green, who’s just ‘happy to be there’ and does whatever he’s told. Yvette Nicole Brown’s Orange is a ‘spineless corporate shill’ from the HR department, tasked with eliminating redundancies.

When the Among Us adaptation was announced last year, it came with this logline:

Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.

The series does not have a release date yet.
