Here are all of the playable characters coming to Zenless Zone Zero that we know of so far.
HoYoverse’s latest gacha game is Zenless Zone Zero, a stylish action-RPG that relies on a steady cadence of new character releases and content updates to keep players hooked. We already know that the game has recently added Zhu Yuan to the Exclusive Signal Search banner, but thanks to HoYoverse’s drip marketing and a few scattered leaks, we also know about the next few Agents coming to the playable roster.
Here is every new and upcoming playable Agent we know of in Zenless Zone Zero:
Zhu Yuan (now available) - S-Rank
Zhu Yuan will be the first addition to an all-new in-game faction: the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. The Special Response Team features heavily in the Chapter 2 Interlude of Zenless Zone Zero’s main story, so players might already be familiar with the S-Rank Ether Agent Zhu Yuan, who uses a mix of ranged and melee combat to take her foes down. She specialises in Attack, which means that she's capable of putting out a ton of damage.
Zhu Yuan is now available for a limited time in the Exclusive Signal Search banner. Good luck on your pulls!
Qingyi (S-Rank)
Both Qingyi and Zhu Yuan appeared in Zenless Zone Zero’s Chapter 2 Interlude, but Qingyi has yet to be officially added to the game. This Agent is a member of the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team and functions as Zhu Yuan’s level-headed partner. She also appears to be an android, wielding a three-section staff in combat. According to leaks, Qingyi is an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent.
Seth Lowell (A-Rank)
Seth Lowell works alongside Qingyi and Zhu Yuan in the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. According to leaks, he will be an A-Rank Electric Agent. Excitingly, Seth is going to be the game’s second Defense Agent after Ben Bigger, wielding a weapon that doubles as both a shield and a greatsword. He also has cat ears and a big bushy tail.
Jane Doe (S-Rank)
The name ‘Jane Doe’ is usually used as a placeholder for women whose true names are unknown. In this case however, Jane Doe is the actual name of an upcoming Agent who seemingly hails from the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, according to a pre-release livestream. If her design is anything to go by, she might not be a part of that faction anymore. She has mouse-like ears and a sharply-tipped tail. So sharp, in fact, that she wields it as a weapon in combat. Leaks claim that Jane will be an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent.
Hoshimi Miyabi (A-Rank)
Hoshimi Miyabi was included in a closed beta test for Zenless Zone Zero as an A-Rank Agent, but a lot of time has passed since that closed beta test, so her rank might be changed by the time she launches. Miyabi is an Ice Damage Agent who wields a katana in combat. She belongs to the Hollow Special Operations Section 6 faction, which has been featured in the story campaign, but isn’t a part of the roster just yet.
A few more upcoming characters we know of
The Agents we’ve mentioned above have either been unveiled by HoYoverse in social media posts or spotted in closed beta tests, giving us a better look at their design and ability kits. A few more names have been dropped either via in-game appearances or vague online leaks, but we know very little about them at the moment.
For example, Zenless Zone Zero’s release teaser showed off multiple characters coming to the game’s various factions who haven’t been fully revealed yet. Right off the bat, we know of a few characters from the Hollow Special Operations Section 6 faction, which also includes Hoshimi Miyabi and Soukaku. One is a pink-haired woman named Tsukishiro Yanagi who wields a spear staff, while the other is a man named Asaba Harumasa whose bow weapon transforms into two swords.
Next, we have three upcoming characters from the Sons of Calydon faction, which includes Lucy and Piper. The first is a green-haired male Agent named Lighters, who is seen riding a motorbike with Lucy in the release trailer. It might be easy to miss another bike-riding Agent on Lucy’s right in the video, wearing sunglasses with white hair. Her name has been leaked to be Burnice. Riding in a moving truck driven by Piper is another white-haired woman named Caesar, spotted with a sword-and-shield weapon combo.
Lastly, a pre-release livestream for Zenless Zone Zero also gave us a sneak peek at the tentatively-titled ‘Virtual Idol’ faction. This faction seemingly consists of three musical idols, though we have yet to see in-game models for the group as of now.
