Unleash the Tiger Thiren! Ju Fufu may look like a cute kitty, but build her right and your teams will be roaring through many fights!
The second half of Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 introduces a new S-rank banner featuring the adorable yet deadly Tiger Thiren, Ju Fufu of the Yunkui Summit. As a Fire Stun Agent, Ju Fufu excels off-field–dealing high Daze and providing powerful damage buffs to her team.
In this guide, you'll find everything you need to build Ju Fufu in ZZZ: her best teams and Bangboo, skill priority, top W-Engines and Drive Discs, how to play her effectively, and all the materials required for her promotion.
Ju Fufu’s kit and core mechanics: Hu Wei, Might, and off-field utility
Ju Fufu’s kit revolves around building Might through her popcorn-slinging companion, Hu Wei. Hu Wei automatically attacks nearby enemies every 4 seconds, generating 20 Might per hit. Ju Fufu can store up to 200 Might at a time.
When she has at least 100 Might and is off-field, Hu Wei’s attack can trigger Ju Fufu’s Chain Attack: Suppressing Tiger Cauldron, applying high Daze and enabling her to contribute heavily from off-field. This automatic activation makes her an excellent support unit for rotation-based teams.
Tiger’s Roar: Powerful teamwide CRIT DMG buff
After triggering her Chain Attack, Ju Fufu grants the squad the Tiger’s Roar effect, increasing CRIT DMG by 20%. This bonus scales with her Attack stat. Every 100 ATK over 2,800 provides an additional 5% CRIT DMG, up to a maximum of +30%. With 3,400 ATK, she offers a total of a 50% CRIT DMG boost to all allies.
While Tiger’s Roar is active, allies also gain +20% Chain Attack DMG and +40% Ultimate DMG, and Ju Fufu herself receives +50 Impact. This buff lasts for 30 seconds and can be maintained indefinitely, offering consistent offensive support.
Momentum and EX Special
Ju Fufu also builds Momentum through her EX Special, Ultimate, and Defensive Assist Follow-up. These stacks enhance her resource generation and enable rapid Might buildup:
- EX Special: Grants 3 Momentum stacks and significant Might
- Ultimate: Grants 6 Momentum stacks and 100 Might
- Defensive Assist Follow-Up: Adds 1 stack (10s cooldown)
Momentum attacks generate 25 Might per hit (more than Hu Wei’s base attacks), allowing for quicker access to her Chain Attack. Ju Fufu can store up to 15 Momentum stacks, though it's rare to reach the cap in normal play.
Enhanced Decibel cap and energy refund
Ju Fufu increases the squad’s maximum Decibel limit from 3,000 to 4,000, making it easier to manage Ultimate usage. When paired with an Attack or Rupture Agent, her Additional Ability lets them regain 300 Decibels upon using their Ultimate, significantly improving energy cycling.
While Ju Fufu doesn’t benefit from the Decibel refund herself, her support allows high-DP agents to chain their Ultimates faster, improving team DPS consistency.
Field skills and utility
Though designed for off-field play, Ju Fufu has some unique on-field mechanics:
- Basic Attack: A chain of claw strikes that ends in a delayed finisher if the attack button is held.
- Hold Dash Attack: Consumes Momentum stacks to perform a series of strikes that generate Might. If used properly, it can reset Hu Wei’s attack cooldown to speed up Might generation.
These skills aren’t core to her playstyle, but can be useful for speeding up rotations in niche scenarios. However, Ju Fufu is generally best kept off-field, using her EX Special and Ultimate to fuel team-wide buffs and Daze application.
Ju Fufu’s Ultimate

Her Ultimate is excellent for generating resources, providing 100 Might and 6 Momentum stacks. It also deals solid Daze and contributes to her off-field presence.
Equipping her signature W-Engine, Roaring Fur-nace, further increases her value, granting an additional +20% team damage. This boost stacks with her other buffs, significantly amplifying team output.
Extra tips when playing Ju Fufu
- Avoid overcapping Might. Space out EX Specials and Ultimates to maximise off-field Chain Attacks.
- Save Momentum and Might for when enemies aren’t stunned, as her Daze contribution is most valuable then.
- Her Chain Attack counts as an Aftershock attack, gaining slight benefits from certain passives.
- You can swap Ju Fufu in during her Chain Attack animation to trigger a stun on-field, which is a useful trick for tight rotation setups.
Ju Fufu skill priority

Ju Fufu’s Core Skill, Special Attack, and Chain Attack should be prioritised first. These abilities are key to her off-field utility, providing high Daze, strong Aftershock value, and a powerful CRIT DMG buff for the entire team.
After these, her Basic Attack can be upgraded if you're using her on-field occasionally, as it contributes some Daze through Hu Wei. Her Dodge and Assist skills offer minor benefits and can be left for last, unless you’re aiming to maximise her on-field potential.
Ju Fufu Build: Best W-Engines, Drive Discs, and teams
Best W-Engine
Ju Fufu’s best-in-slot W-Engine is Roaring Fur-nace, her signature. It increases the Daze dealt by her EX Special, Chain Attack, and Ultimate by 28%, and boosts the entire squad’s Fire DMG by up to 20% when she uses a Chain Attack or Ultimate. This buff lasts for 30 seconds, stacks twice, and applies separately for each skill, making it ideal for Ju Fufu’s frequent off-field triggering and team support role.

Hellfire Gears is a strong alternative, especially in energy-demanding team comps. It improves Energy Regen while Ju Fufu is off-field and increases her Impact by up to 20% when using EX Specials, helping her apply Daze more consistently. Blazing Laurel is a situational choice, offering CRIT DMG scaling for Fire and Ice damage through Wilt stacks. However, its reliance on on-field Basic Attacks and Assist mechanics also makes it less reliable for Ju Fufu’s off-field playstyle.
Other options include Steam Oven, which passively boosts Impact based on Energy stored, and Precious Fossilized Core, which increases Daze output against high-HP targets, though these are generally better as early-game or F2P picks if Roaring Fur-nace is unavailable.
Overall, Ju Fufu’s performance and team utility see the biggest jump with Roaring Fur-nace, while the other W-Engines can serve as stopgaps depending on your build and progression.
Best Drive Discs

Best set: 4-piece King of the Summit + 2-piece Woodpecker Electro
Ju Fufu’s strongest Drive Disc setup is a 4-piece King of the Summit combined with a 2-piece Woodpecker Electro. King of the Summit boosts her Daze significantly and increases the team's CRIT DMG whenever she uses her EX Special Attack or Chain Attack; two key parts of her off-field rotation. The 2-piece Woodpecker Electro set provides CRIT Rate, helping Ju Fufu reach the 50% CRIT Rate required to fully activate the 4-piece King of the Summit bonus.
This combination directly supports Ju Fufu’s role as an off-field Daze and buff provider. Her CRIT DMG buff scales with her ATK, but to unlock the full potential of King of the Summit, she must reach a 50% CRIT Rate benchmark, making Woodpecker Electro the most reliable way to hit that target while maximising consistency in her rotations.
Second best set: 4-piece King of the Summit + 2-piece Astral Voice (or any ATK%)
If you’re able to hit the required 50% CRIT Rate through substats or external buffs, you can swap Woodpecker Electro for a 2-piece Astral Voice or any other ATK% Drive Disc set.
The additional ATK% enhances Ju Fufu’s Core Passive, which scales CRIT DMG for the entire squad based on her total ATK. This alternative offers stronger late-game scaling if your gear already provides enough CRIT Rate, allowing you to double down on team-wide CRIT DMG amplification without sacrificing uptime on buffs.
Best Ju Fufu team compositions
Yunkui Summit Team

- Rupture: Yixuan
- Stun: Jufufu
- Support/Defense: Pan Yinhu
- Bangboo: Resonaboo
This is a classic Attack–Stun–Support team setup, with Ju Fufu excelling as the Stun unit thanks to her consistent control and high Daze output via EX Special and Chain Attacks. Her CRIT DMG buff significantly amplifies Yixuan’s damage, while her Stun utility smooths out Yixuan’s ability rotations and timing.
Rupure Team

- Support: Astra
- Rupture: Yixuan
- Stun: Ju Fufu
- Bangboo: Belion
Bangboo Alternatives: Devilboo, Sumoboo, Resonaboo, Knightboo
Ju Fufu pairs exceptionally well with Yixuan, serving as her best off-field Stun partner. Her CRIT DMG buff and increased Decibel cap allow Yixuan to unleash stronger Ultimates, while also enabling a 300 Decibel refund upon Ultimate use–greatly improving Yixuan's energy cycling. Astra rounds out the comp with flexible support and Rupture synergy, amplifying team output during stun windows.
Aftershock Team

- Stun: Ju Fufu
- Stun: Trigger/Pulchra
- Attack: Soldier Zero Anby
- Bangboo: Belion, Plugboo
Ju Fufu’s solid Aftershock damage makes her a natural fit alongside Pulchra and Soldier 0 Anby, both of whom also specialise in dealing high Aftershock DMG. Pulchra further enhances this synergy by boosting the team’s Aftershock damage–or all damage, once her full Mindscape Cinema is unlocked.
With both Ju Fufu and Pulchra fulfilling the Stun role, Soldier 0 Anby takes the spotlight as the main damage dealer, maximising the team’s Aftershock-based synergy. Alternatively, Trigger can replace Pulchra for a more efficient buffing option. If Trigger is used instead, any CRIT-scaling Attack character can step in as the core DPS, making this Ju Fufu team more flexible for different builds in Zenless Zone Zero.
Totalize Team

- Stun: Ju Fufu
- Stun: Lighter
- Attack: Hugo
- Bangboo: Robin
- Bangboo Alternatives: Sharkboo, Penguinboo
Hugo is a DPS who thrives in teams that can quickly apply Stun. Once enemies are Stunned, he enters the field, dishes out heavy damage, restores the Daze meter, and then rotates out to let his Stun teammates set up the next cycle. Although Hugo + Lighter + Lycaon is still the quickest and most effective rotation for Hugo, another strategy is having one on-field and one off-field Stun agent. Pairings like Lighter + Trigger or Lycaon + Pulchra work well, and now, Ju Fufu also fits into this role as a reliable off-field Stun unit.
Stars of Lyra Team
- Support: Astra
- Attack: Evelyn
- Stun: Ju Fufu
- Bangboo: Snap
Bangboo Alternatives: Cryboo, Rocketboo, Knightboo
In teams built around Attack agents, Ju Fufu acts as a hybrid Stunner and Support, enhancing Ultimate and Chain Attack damage while providing consistent off-field Daze. Agents like Astra, who demand more field time and deal large burst damage through Ultimates, benefit the most from Ju Fufu’s CRIT DMG buffs and utility. Evelyn supports with additional energy and field control, making this a well-rounded rotation-focused comp.
F2P Ju Fufu Team

- Stun: Ju Fufu
- Attack: Billy
- Support: Nicole
- Bangboo: Booressure
Bangboo Alternatives: Bagboo, Sumoboo, Avocaboo, Knightboo
This free-to-play team makes use of the Cunning Hares trio by swapping out Anby for Ju Fufu as the Stun agent. Ju Fufu provides consistent Daze and powerful CRIT DMG buffs, while Nicole debuffs enemies to amplify team damage. Billy serves as the main on-field DPS, making full use of Ju Fufu's support-oriented kit and Daze utility.
Ju Fufu brings a lot of utility, control, and team-wide buffs, which make her a standout in both casual and optimised lineups. Good luck pulling the fierce and fluffy Tiger Thiren in Zenless Zone Zero 2.0!
