Jade is a Quantum Erudition character who acts as an area-of-effect enabler and follow-up attack sub DPS.
Jade is a great addition to your character roster if you’re having difficulty clearing the endgame battle mode Pure Fiction, as she can easily breeze through any combat situation with waves of multiple enemies. And while her kit lets her grant significant buffs to an ally, her own damage output is nothing to be scoffed at as she also boosts her own stats.
Jade’s kit is centered around her skill, Acquisition Surety, and Talent, Fang of Fare Flying.
Jade’s skill lets her designate one party member as the Debt Collector. The Debt Collector gets a 30 Speed buff for 3 turns and, whenever they attack, all enemies hit will receive an additional instance of DMG based on Jade’s ATK. Each attack by the Debt Collector also consumes a small portion of their Max HP, though this doesn’t really become an issue unless your party doesn’t have a sustainable character.
Jade’s Talent then lets her gain 1 stack of Charge for each enemy hit whenever the Debt Collector or Jade herself attacks. When Charge reaches 8 stacks, Jade will unleash a follow-up attack that deals Quantum DMG to all enemies.
In addition, Jade receives 5 stacks of Pawned Asset whenever she uses her Talent’s follow-up attack. Each stack of Pawned Asset gives her a 2.4% Crit DMG buff, which goes up to a whopping 120% Crit DMG when she reaches the max stack count of 50.
Jade’s unique basic attack is the first in the game that deals damage to three enemies, which means she gains 3 stacks of Charge whenever she uses her basic attack.
While Jade can designate herself as the Debt Collector, it is not recommended as she does not receive the Speed buff and the stack generation for Charge will be much slower.
Jade’s ultimate, Vow of the Deep, deals Quantum DMG to all enemies and boosts the DMG multiplier of her next 2 follow-up attacks.
Jade’s major Traces let her reach the max stack count for Pawned Asset much faster, advance her action forward at the start of battle, and give her an additional ATK buff for every stack of Pawned Asset.
Finally, her Technique prevents nearby enemies from attacking her in the overworld and immediately gives her 15 stacks of Pawned Asset when she initiates battle herself.
When levelling up Jade’s abilities, prioritise her Talent first, skill second, ultimate third, and her basic attack last, though you don’t have to level up her basic attack if you want to save on resources.
Jade’s best Cavern of Corrosion relic set will either be the 4-piece The Ashblazing Grand Duke or the 4-piece Genius of Brilliant Stars. The Ashblazing Grand Duke is the better generalist set for most combat situations but Genius of Brilliant Stars will be better when facing enemies with Quantum Weakness.
You can also go for a 2-piece combination of those two sets if you’re still farming a full 4-piece set.
As for Jade’s Planar Ornament relics, you have four options to choose from: Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves; Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation; Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm; and Inert Salsotto.
All those sets perform similarly enough when their bonuses are utilised, so your decision will come down to which pieces have the better substats.
The main stats you should go for in Jade’s relics are Crit Rate for the body, ATK or Speed for the boots (but ATK is preferred), Quantum DMG bonus or ATK for the Planar Sphere (Quantum DMG bonus if ATK boots, ATK if Speed boots), and ATK for Link Rope
The best Light Cone you can give to Jade is her signature, Yet Hope is Priceless, but if you’re not too keen on spending Stellar Jade on the Light Cone banner, here are some alternatives:
- Night on the Milky Way (5-star) - can be gained via the Standard Banner
- Eternal Calculus (5-star) - can be gained via the Simulated Universe Herta Store
- Today is Another Peaceful Day (4-star) - can be gained via the Battle Pass
- Geniuses’ Repose (4-star) - can be gained via gacha
- The Seriousness of Breakfast (4 star) - can be gained via Light Cone Manifest
- The Day the Cosmos Fell (4 star) - can be gained via Light Cone Manifest
For Jade’s best team composition, she should be paired with another Erudition character, with Argenti, Himeko, and Herta being her best DPS partners. Jade can also work with Jing Yuan and Qingque, but not as good as we would like.
Jade also has unique synergy with Blade, as the HP drain mechanic from her skill gives Blade more stacks for his follow up attack, which in turn also gives Jade more stacks for her own follow-up attack.
Since Jade teams will have two DPS characters, it’s best to have Harmony supports like Ruan Mei and Robin since they provide party-wide buffs
If you have Jade at E1, she can be competitive in non-AoE situations like Memory of Chaos or Apocalyptic Shadow, as E1 gives her more stacks of Charge if the Debt Collectoronly attacks 1 or 2 enemies. If you do end up playing E1 Jade in these game modes, it’s best to pair her with another DPS who attacks frequently, like Topaz.
