From ESL One Kuala Lumpur champions to roster shuffle and open qualifiers, Azure Ray went full circle in the 2024 ESL Pro Tour.
China heads to DreamLeague Season 22 with three teams after Azure Ray and G2.iG have claimed their spots via regional qualifiers. They are joining Xtreme Gaiming, who received a direct invite to the $1,000,000 DreamLeague event.
All eyes were on Azure Ray through the regional qualifiers battle. They were forced to start from scratch with open qualifier matches after losing three of their players despite claiming the ESL One Kuala Lumpur trophy in December. Per ESL Pro Tour rulebook, Azure Ray lost all their EPT points and had to start it all over again. Nonetheless, the brutal shuffle that they suffered at the end of the year seems to only have empowered Azure Ray, who are now fighting with Zhang "Faith_bian/Bach" Ruida, Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang and Xu "fy" Linsen on their side.

They will have a shot at playing against their former players, who went to Xtreme Gaming, beginning February 4, when both teams will also be playing at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.
DreamLeague Season 22 is set to begin right after the BB Dacha tourney, on the 25th of February. So far, only the Chinese region is done with the qualifier matches. Eight more slots are yet to be claimed as all other regional qualifiers are in full swing.
