BOOM Esports sticking around South America; Rebuilding roster

After dropping their new SA roster just a few weeks ago, BOOM Esports is rebuilding a new lineup around Pakazs.

After missing The International 2023, BOOM Esports announced they would test the South American waters.

The team secured an invite to the ESL One qualifiers by taking up the slot from Evil Geniuses, who departed from not just the region but Dota 2 as a whole after The International 2023.

The shift in regions surprised many, but only weeks later, the team failed to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, and the organization dropped its roster.

It was unclear if the organization would head back to SEA or stick around the SA region.

There is still one spot on the roster, waiting to be filled and it appears that BOOM is aiming for another full Peruvian lineup. There is no official (at least announced publically) deadline for completed rosters this year with the lack of a DPC.

Moving into the new year, the EPT will resume in February with DreamLeague Season 22, followed by an ESL One LAN tournament hosted in Birmingham in the second part of the month of April.
