SumaiL on loan to Team Aster through at least TI12

After competing, on loan, with Team Aster at ESL One Berlin Major, Syed "SumaiL" Hassan will be transferred to the Chinese team through TI12 and maybe longer.

At the ESL One Berlin Major, Syed "SumaiL" Hassan stood in for Zhai "Xwy" Jingkai on Team Aster, who had become “inactive for the time being" during ESL DreamLeague Season 19.

This marked a very rare occurrence in the professional scene where a top Chinese team will compete with a non-Chinese-speaking player. And somehow it worked well for everyone involved.

Team Aster exited the event in 7-8th place, a highly commendable finish, all things considered. In fact, SumaiL seemed to really stand out and shine within the team.

When GosuGamers asked Ye "BoBoKa" Zhibiao on grounds in Berlin about having the young NA prodigy playing with them, he responded

[Team Aster is] trying very hard to get him

And it seems they might have struck a deal.

Translation:

SumaiL's performance at the Berlin Major was astonishing, we believe everyone can agree to that. The club has been discussing internally and actively in contact with Nigma Galaxy as well as SumaiL himself to explore possibilities.

It is now confirmed that: SumaiL will be on loan from Nigma to Team Aster until TI12. Any future considerations are also in the midst of negotiation.

One thing for sure is that, SumaiL the king is officially joining Team Aster to compete in the upcoming season, playing position 2.

We hope that the players would be able to build their chemistry swiftly in the new season and produce better performance.

We would like to thank Nigma Galaxy and SumaiL for agreeing to the arrangements. And also thank all our fans that have been supporting us all along. Aster will continue to work hard! Jiayou!

Fans will no doubt look forward to seeing SumaiL compete in both the Chinese and international scenes for the rest of the season.

Team Aster is currently sitting at rank 15 in the DPC with 408 points. There is only one Tour left in order to secure enough points for a direct invite.

Otherwise, they will need to go through the expected regional qualifiers.

The International 12 has been announced to return to Seattle, Washington in the US during October.
