Nigma Galaxy won’t be returning in the full formula for the start of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit.
Over the past few days, Nigma Galaxy started to confirm its returning members for the new season, beginning with the team captain, Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi. However, one player will not be with the team at the start of the season.
According to the official announcement made by the organization, Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi will step down from active play leaving the carry role vacant at least for the first Tour of the next DPC season.
“Taking a break from the game he loves wasn't an easy decision, but it is an important step Miracle chose to take to address his health condition,” Nigma Galaxy stated. “We fully support him and can't wait until he's ready to come back.”
While the organization is yet to announce who will be stepping in, Miracle- did mention on Twitter that he will be assisting the team “behind the scenes” in the next season.
This is not the only change for Nigma Galaxy. Earlier this month, they parted ways with Roman "rmN-" Paley, who has been coaching the team for the past three years and welcomed aboard Gaimin Gladiators' former coach, Daniel "ImmortalFaith" Moza.
Nigma Galaxy had a rough 2022 DPC year, finishing sixth in the first Tour and then relegating to Division 2 at the end of the second Tour. Nonetheless, the team went undefeated in the lower division of the last Tour, which means that they will start the next year’s Dota Pro Circuit in the Western Europe Division 1.
They have just a couple of days to announce the final roster as the shuffle window is set to close on December 9 at 11:59 am PT.
Nigma Galaxy current roster:
Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Borislavov Ivanov
Maroun “GH” Merhej
