Primal Beast gets buffs in a minor Dota 2 gameplay update after a dreadful first day

After an uninspiring start to its Dota 2 journey, Primal Beast has received a number of buffs to help it have a better impact on the game.

Primal Beast roared into Dota 2 with the release of Dota 2 patch 7.31, with a similar set of skills that were seen when fighting against it in the final room of Aghanim’s Labyrinth: The Continuum Conundrum. But it seems like a majority of Primal Beasts power was held back in the Continuum Vault, as the new hero’s Dota 2 debut was less than impressive with a first-day win rate of somewhere around 40% according to Dotabuff. Typically, new heroes are slightly on the broken side to make them lucrative to players, but Primal Beast has found itself on the wrong side of the average win rate.

Seeing the monster suffer in its new settings, IceFrog and Valve have released a minor gameplay update patch to make things a bit easier for the new hero by buffing all four of its skills along with its turn rate and a level 20 talent.

Trample is the spell that has had the most buffs. Mana cost and cooldown have both been reduced, and the damage has seen an increase. These buffs might make it the best spell to max out. Till now, according to Dotabuff, the most popular builds have prioritized maxing out Uproar. The level 20 talent that has seen a buff is also related to Trample, signalling the fact that the road is being paved for Primal Beast to trample all over the other heroes.

Dota 2 is a game where small changes have massive impacts. This is a patch straight up meant for buffing Primal Beast, and it has been blessed with no less than nine buffs. As players figure out the new hero, who is majorly being played as an offlaner, the buffs will help to make its win rate rise and ensure that the Dota 2 community doesn’t lose the excitement of picking and experimenting with Primal Beast.
