TI7 championship team led by Kuroky- has finally unveiled their new organization and name -- Nigma esports.
A few weeks after TI9 where Team Liquid took second place, narrowly missing out on being the team to make history as two time TI champions, the organization and Dota 2 players parted ways.
The reason? Kuro Salhi "Kuroky-" Takhasomi and others wanted to create their own organization for the next season.
This was not the first time that some of these players have ventured out on their own. In the post-TI5 shuffle, a new team appeared on the horizon demanding attention, 5Jungz, spearheaded by Kuroky- along with Ivan "MindControl" Ivanov.
After missing out on the first DPC 2019-2020 round of events, they TI7 winners and TI9 runner-up lineup have finally announced their return.
Apparently, the name's origin comes from the Arabic language and means Star, but it has created quite the stir and frenzy on social media and reddit platforms with fans already making memes or criticizing the group for a questionable naming decision.
The team will need to fight through the open qualifiers this week as they have not yet earned any points for the season. The competition is expected to be stiff with OG and Team Secret both in the same boat.
