In an overwhelmingly decisive grand finals, Virtus.pro swept through Team Spirit 3:0 to claim the Adrenaline Cyber League LAN title.
At Loft Hall in Moscow, Russia an intimate LAN was taking place over the weekend that little outside the CIS region had heard about. Three directly invited teams and one qualified team had squared off for chief part of the $100,000 prize pool and the LAN title.
After three open qualifiers and one closed qualifier that Team Spirit had clinched last month when they overpowered Winstrike 2:1, the stage was set for a quick LAN between major events.
Na'Vi was invited to defend their title from last season - a decisive victory for the Ukrainians when they triumphed over Virtus.pro 3:1 in the grand finals.
Evil Geniuses were invited to represent a second region.
And of course, Virtus.pro were on hand as the hometown heroes and crowd favorites.
The four teams went head to head in a single elimination playoff brackets that culminated into a clean and tidy, not to mention relatively quick, three-game grand finals.
