Team Empire takes on two squads; change up players

Team Empire has announced they will be represented by two Dota 2 squads and have changed out some of their players.

Despite the new rule from Valve regarding multiple ownerships, Team Empire has decided to go ahead and make two squads to represent them through the season anyway, not unlike paiN Gaming and Newbee

Besides taking on two squads, there have also been some roster changes including the departure of Vladimir "Chappie" Kuzmenko. Oleg "sayuw" Kalenbet has switched off the main roster to Team Empire Hope and Sergey Alexandrovich "G" Bragin and Fedor "velheor" Rusikhin have been added to Team Empire Faith.

During last month many things had happened and today I want to tell you about the changes in our Dota 2 roster. The main change is we are going to have not one but two Dota 2 squads. It is important to mention that both of these squads are equal and thus will be called Team Empire Faith and Team Empire Hope. Team Empire Faith consists of experienced players while some young talents are gathered in Team Empire Hope.

We did huge amount of work to form Team Empire Hope. It is a well-known fact that CIS has a lot of talented players but you need to gather the right people in the right time if you want their growth. I am happy to say that we have such an opportunity this season.

We say goodbye to Vladimir Chappie Kuzmenko. The main reason of such decision is that both core players tended to play the same role. I wish him good luck and sure Vladimir will show himself. Also we reached agreement with Aybek Naive- Tokaev, so he will play for NoPangolier.

Well-known Sergey G Bragin will play on mid for Team Empire Faith. I am happy to work with Sergey again, he is an absolutely good match for this squad. Oleg Sayuw Kalenbet is transferred to Team Empire Hope and will be substituted by Fyodor velheor Rusikhin.

There is also a sad news. Egor JotM Surkov is leaving Team Empire. The reason is that we had different opinions on how our team must grow further. I understand his decision and have nothing against Yegor. Hope, that he will understand my decision someday and also the fact that it was uneasy one.

We are fully aware that Valve forbids the two squads of one organisation from participating in The International, but we have much time before that and thus both Team Empire squads will play in the nearest DPC qualifiers

Both of the Team Empire squads will be heading to the open qualifiers for the The Chongqing Major starting next week.

Team Empire Faith roster:

Russia Sergey "G" Bragin
Russia Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov
Russia Fyodor "velheor" Rusikhin

Team Empire Hope roster:

Russia Konstantin "Kodos" Kogai
Russia Rodion "MySmoon" Fomkin
