Team Liquid has accepted the fourth invitation to ESL's last major of the Pro Circuit 2017-2018 Season — ESL One Birmingham.
Team Liquid is confirmed to be joining Evil Geniuses, Virtus.pro and Newbee at ESL One Birmingham as one of six teams directly invited to compete at the event.
Since taking the TI7 championship title, Team Liquid has shown no sign of slowing down or falling victim to the TI curse of struggling in the following season. Instead, the Europeans have clinched themselves four additional prestigious trophies and haven't taken anything less than a 3-4th place finish in any of the events they have participated in. Despite an impressive showing, they still have yet to take an ESL One title.
Currently, the team is sitting in second place on the DPC rankings with 4734 points —a mere 24 points ahead of Team Secret who assumes the third place position. Besides their participation in DAC 2018 right now, Team Liquid will head to EPICENTER XL at the end of the month before heading to Birmingham.
The 12 team tournament has a prize pool of 1$ Million and 1500 Pro Circuit points and is scheduled to begin on the 23rd of May.
