The first details for StarLadder Invitational Season 5 Minor have started to surface, including open qualifier information.
Amid the chaos and hype of all of the big LAN events happening in March, the StarLadder Invitational Season 5 open qualifiers are getting ready to commence in the six Valve designated regions.
Open qualifiers schedule and registration:
• SEA – March 10-11, 1 spot to closed qualifiers
• NA – March 10-11, 2 spots to closed qualifiers
• SA – March 10-11, 2 spots to closed qualifiers
• EU – March 17-18, 1 spot to closed qualifiers
• CIS – March 18-19, 1 spot to closed qualifiers
• China – March 19-21, 1 spot to closed qualifiers
The closed qualifiers dates and invited teams will be announced in the near future. Only one team per region will advance to the main event to join the two invited teams. The eight teams are expected to compete in a double-elimination (GSL) format group stage with four teams advancing the single elimination playoffs.
The fifth season will take place in Kiev April 11-15th. Designated as a Minor in the Pro Circuit 2017-2018 season, the SL i-League Invitational S5 will feature 300 DPC points and $300,000 prize pool. This will be the organizer's third and final minor event of the season.
