Fnatic to play in the Manila Masters SEA qualifiers

Fnatic, Faceless and Mineski will be competing for a spot into the main event of the Manila Masters.

The Manilla Masters is just around the corner, and the teams invited to the Southeast Asian Qualifier playoffs have been officially announced. Four teams are invited to the first elimination round (Ro12), four teams are invited to the second round (Ro8), and four positions are up for grabs in the SEA regional qualifiers.

In the second round of the SEA qualifier playoffs (Ro8), Team Faceless will be the ones to watch. Having picked up momentum from their success in the Kiev Major SEA regional qualifiers, it is likely that Team Faceless would surmount their opponents once again and earn a LAN spot. Faceless will be safeguarded from facing their longtime rival TNC Pro Team as they will be competing in a separate Pinoy Tour. That being said, Faceless must not hesitate in staying on their A-game, as Mineski-Dota, who were once the hope of the Pinoy scene, will be making their SEA debut with a full pledged SEA roster in the second round and are also setting their sights on the LAN spot. Other lethal competitors will be the Malaysian Team Geek Fam and WarriorsGaming.Unity, which is mostly known for its decent run at The Boston Major 2016.

The First round of the Southeastern Asian qualifier playoffs (Ro12), will feature the one and only Fnatic. So far the team has Chong “Ohaiyo” Xin Khoo and Yongmin “febby-dieu” Kim, and the rest of their much-anticipated roster is sure to leave their fans awestruck. The other teams in the first round will be WarriorsGaming.Youth, the Indonesian team Rex Regum Qeon, and EVOS Esports, best remembered for being one step away from the Kiev Major Southeast Asia regional Qualifiers in 2017, only losing to Team Bazaar 2-1 in the Southeast Asia open qualifiers.

The four winners from the Manila Masters Southeast Asia regional qualifiers will join the other teams in the playoffs, which will be formatted as a 12-team double-elimination. For more information on the open qualifier signups and the broadcast schedule for the playoffs, stay updated by following them on Facebook or Twitter as it will soon be announced.
