All five of The International 6's MVP.Phoenix line-up have left the team, leaving the Korean organization with no roster for the upcoming join period.
The MVP.Phoenix roster which achieved a 5th-6th place finish at The International 6 has dispersed after their three remaining players left the team. Sun 'QO' Kim, Yongmin 'febby' Kim and Dooyoung 'Dubu' Kim became free agents after leaving MVP.P on the 31st of August.
GosuGamers reached out to MVP.P's manager and confirmed that the departure of the three players does not signify the end of the MVP.P line-up. The motives behind the player's decision to leave the roster was to "open every option and possibility" and to give the players "more time", ensuring the player choose the path they are happiest with. It was also said that the trio wants to stay with the team.
For this post-TI shuffle, MVP.P had their members gradually leaving despite their strong performance in TI6. On the 19th and 23rd of August, the team's mid/carry player, Noah 'MentalProtector' Pyo, and offlaner, Sang-Don 'Forev' Lee departed from the team; both players were subsequently picked up by Team Secret.
Over the past two years, MVP.P's rosters have always tended towards a hyper-aggressive play-style and strong offline performances. As the sole Korean representatives at TI5 and TI6, they have achieved a 7th-8th place and 5th-6th place finish at the two TIs respectively.
