Given the amazing run that MVP Phoenix and Fnatic had at the Shanghai Major, Epicenter had decided to merge the CIS open qualifiers with the European ones and extend the competition for the SEA region as well. The open qualifiers are set to start tomorrow, 9th of March for Europe + CIS and SEA while the US teams will compete starting the next day, March 10.

Held via FACEIT, the open qualifiers will start in less than 24 hours and will not allow the teams that already registered with a roster to use stand ins. So make sure all your teammates are available on the date and time set for the games and register your team by following the links below:

Epicenter is set to take place in Moscow, Russia between May 9-15 at Crocus City Hall and the today’s announcement of the Spring Shuffle period forced the organizers to reconsider their invite for EHOME at the LAN playoffs.

Our invites were delivered in January and back then were justified. Overall nothing has changed since this day, however due to the importance of the visa application procedure we cannot afford to wait for teams to finalize their roster changes after the Shanghai Major. This is why we have to unfortunately revoke EHOME's invitation and welcome Team Liquid to Moscow instead. We’re confident that this gives them further opportunity to continue their recent phenomenal play. Mark Averbukh - Epic Esports Events

Although the initial announcement stated that only two more teams coming from the qualifier process will advance into the playoffs, Epic Esports Events have decided to also extend the spots available for the playoffs to four.

This list will be extended by the four victorious teams in our upcoming main qualifiers, which will also be region based. As previously stated, we’ll kick things off with our open qualifiers in the following regions: North America, China, South East Asia and Europe. The open qualifiers will determine which teams join those invited to the main qualifiers, which will take place shortly after. Mark Averbukh - Epic Esports Events
