Rave dethrone MVP Phoenix in the Korea Dota League Season 4

MVP Phoenix and Rave met for a second best-of-five final in under 24 hours but after massive disruption Rave were able to take revenge for their Starladder XI loss and claim the title.

The grand final was severely disrupted by lag issues, lengthy pauses and apparent snow issues, but Rave were able to claim the championship in a best-of-five victory that took over two days to win. MVP Phoenix were entering their fourth successive grand final in the competition and were the reigning champions after securing the both Season 2 and Season 3 victories. After taking the first game the Koreans began to struggle against the Filipino team dropping two consecutive games leaving them one game away from defeat. Rave were looking ready to secure their victory but following over an hour of pauses, MVP Phoenix surprised many by coming out fighting to quickly win the fourth game. After six hours of disrupted games and the grand final continuing long after midnight it was decided that the fifth and final game would be held on Saturday.

The grand final resumed the next day and Rave showed no signs of fatigue with the Filipino side only allowing MVP Phoenix to pick up twelve kills over the fourty minute game. They never looked in trouble against their potential rival for the top South East Asian team and become only the third team to take the championship.

After a bad group stage, the reigning champions MVP Phoenix had everything to do going into the bubble race for the Korea Dota League Season 4. Only able to join the three remaining teams in the bubble race after a tiebreaker against MVP HOT6, the Korean team were forced to begin at the bottom of the bracket with three teams between them and claiming a possible third successive championship.

Their first match of the bracket was against first season champions Zephyr, who were able to take their place in the bubble race after securing promotion back to the highest tier of the competition. Zephyr have recently found themselves way outside of the top hundred teams in the world and the difference between the two teams was visible with MVP Phoenix claiming an easy shut-out victory.

Awaiting in the next round was Pokerface who managed to finish second in the group stage with three draws from their three matches. In the first game MVP Phoenix never looked in trouble against their opponent with a lineup featuring heroes like Batrider and Faceless Void managing to tear apart Pokerface's Drow Ranger and Visage combination. The second game lasted over seventy minutes and featured over a hundred kills as Pokerface desperately attempted to defend their base but MVP Phoenix were eventually able to destroy the ancient for the victory and secure their place in their fourth successive grand final.
