Ninth stretch goal reached; 120~ MB patch added into Dota 2's main client

The ninth The International 4 stretch goal has been reached as the prize pool has now gone past the $4,000,000 mark. In an unrelated development, a 120~ MB patch was added into the main client. A number of achieved stretch goals rewards are not included in the update.

The community has now contributed more than $2.4 million into the prize pool, which is now sitting upwards of four million dollars. Along with mark is the achievement of the ninth stretch goal, wherein a mini-Pudge courier will be granted to all Compendium owners. Users with Compendium above level 50 will have an alternate skin available to that courier given that the goal is reached.

In an unrelated development, a 120~ MB patch was added into the main client. Among the changes were the inclusion of The International 4's battle bonus in the armory tab, as well as the fix on The International 4's watch tournament tab. Interested fans, with or without the Compendium, can now watch TI4 and its qualifiers' games live and/or download the replay. Previously, it contained links forwarding users to last year's The International. The International 4 can be found in the Premium tournaments section of the watch tab.

To the disappointment of many, most stretch goal rewards are still not yet released in this patch. Stretch goal number two, the loading screens, is possibly the next to be given out as more than 15 were added in this patch. From the Compendium page, it can be seen that all but the first of the nine unlocked stretch goals says that 'this stretch goal reward is under construction and will be delivered to all Compendium owners soon'.

The next stretch goal is set when the prize pool reaches $4,500,000, with the reward being a new Dota 2 music pack for Compendium holders. There are still at least two good months before The International 4's main event.
