DK is living up to their name as the dream team after they took down their closest competitor, formerly undefeated Invictus Gaming in a two game thriller. The second game between both these teams had DK biting their nails but they were able to keep their cool for the epic comeback.
Playtime 3 recap
The third playtime of WPC-ACE League is over and DK is now the undisputed first placer in the standings after they defeated the formerly undefeated Invictus Gaming 2-0. While the first game was a landslide courtesy of Daryl 'iceiceice' Koh's Clockwerk, iG pulled off a strong performance in game two and managed to create a substantial lead over DK in terms of kills, gold and experience. Going into mid-game, iG could not keep up with the intensity and started making mistakes and mistakes, allowing DK to shorten the gap before they eventually overtook iG. At that point, there was nothing much iG could do against DK's tri-core line-up as DK rolled into their base. (VODs)
Another interesting game to note in this playtime is game one between LGD.cn and RisingStars. In this grudge match between Jia Jun 'Sylar' Liu, currently carry player in Rstars, and the whole of LGD.cn, Rstars last picked Medusa in an effort to counter LGD's three core line-up consisting of Kunkka, Weaver and Lifestealer. Both teams played very passively, relying on their late game carry to secure them the win and the game went on for more than 65 minutes before it was resolved. Rstars had the upperhand for most of the game but LGD held their top and bottom barracks before they picked Rstars off to initiate a counter-push. Sylar sold his Satanic for a Divine Rapier in Rstars' final effort but they failed once again. The series ended in a 1-1 draw after LGD.cn lost with their surprise Ursa Warrior pick. (VODs)
To conclude playtime #3, Vici Gaming, Tongfu and LGD.Int did not disappoint their fans as they mowed through Rattlesnake, Team Adidas and Cupid's Heart respectively. Rattlesnake and Cupid's Heart are both 1-0-2 and are tied at 8th position while Team Adidas continues to struggle to find a win.
