A look at the team and hero statistics for the group stage of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
It seems like just yesterday that Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators took on each other in the grand final of The International 2024 (TI13). And yet, here they are trying to make it to the final stages of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024! The 2024-2025 Dota 2 season sure is off to a flyer.
The second LAN of the season after PGL Wallachia Season 2, BBD Belgrade 2024 saw 12 teams start the event with two groups of six teams each. Every team played five best-of-2s, resulting in a total of 60 games played. Tiebreakers were decided through mid 1v1s on Shadow Fiend. Two teams were eliminated from each group, and four advanced to the playoffs, set to begin on Wednesday the 23rd of October. As we get closer to the playoffs, let’s take a look at the team and hero statistics for the group stage of the tournament.

87 hero picks in 60 games shows a lot of variety in hero picks, even though certain ones like Naga Siren and Shadow Demon continue to dominate the drafts, as they did at TI13. The changes from Dota 2 patch 7.37d are taking effect, as heroes like Muerta who were buffed in the balance patch are being picked in more games, although Muerta is not doing too well. The list of heroes picked in 10 or more games however, is mostly heroes from TI13. We are definitely in need of Dota 2 patch 7.38 bringing some big changes to the game.
The new BetBoom Team roster have hit the ground running, and what better tournament to do it than the one by their own organisation? Other teams that have impressed early in the tournament include Tundra Esports and Team Falcons, who have a point to prove after being the favourites at TI13 and finishing fourth. Team Liquid, the reigning TI13 champions, are trying out their new roster for the first time this season. With all eight teams starting in the upper bracket and having two chances of survival in the tournament, we will hopefully get to see some aggressive and fearless Dota 2 competition on display in the playoffs of BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
