The ex-VALORANT player returns to his roots as he moves from 100 Thieves to Team Liquid to play CS:GO again.
Team Liquid have announced that they signed up Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella as part of their 2022 CS:GO roster. He moved from 100 Thieves’ VALORANT team. This is a return for this well renowned player as he left CS:GO in 2020 to pursue a career in VALORANT, Riot Games first person tactical shooter.
This signing is part of Team Liquid’s overhaul strategy for the 2022 season. They have recently signed on Josh “oSee” Ohm from Extra Salt and Richard “shox” Papillon formerly from Team Vitality onto their line-up, while benching Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Michael “Grim” Wince.
The overhaul is on the back of the team’s mediocre run in 2021, failing to bag major events. Their last tier 1 win was the Intel Extreme Masters XIV – Chicago back in 2019.
With the return of nitr0, Liquid is now:
- Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
- Keith “NAF” Markovic
- States Josh “oSee” Ohm
- Richard “shox” Papillon
- Nick “nitr0” Cannella
- Eric “adreN” Hoag (Head coach)
